Analysis of JAWs

Here i have watched a short clip taken from jaws and analysed it describing what it is that makes the audience want to keep watching, what sort of devices are used if any and how they have used these devices effectively and how do we know this is a thriller what is shown that lets the audience know it is a thriller.

Here is a video of Jaws in this short clip there has been a few techniques used one of them is a cliffhanger this has been used leaving the audience on the edge. A cliffhanger is a technique which will often feature a main character in precarious or difficuilt dilema, or confronted with a shocking relevation, this will entice the audience and make them want to keep watching to see how the situation might resolve itself.

Referring to the cliffhanger this also leaves the audience eniticed wanting to watch the film this will be because they will want to know what might happen next, will the shark ever be caught or will it take another victims life. We are given the impression that this is a thriller because of what goes on in the scene clearly expresses you may expect to be shocked and feel suspense during the film and these techniques are often referred to thriller films.
